The 5 best imposter games in 2026
In an imposter game, everyone gets the same secret word except one player, the Imposter, who has to bluff. Players take turns giving clues, then vote on who they think is faking. It needs no board, no cards and no narrator, just a phone and a few friends, which is why so many apps now run it for you.
How we compared them
We picked the five imposter apps with the most downloads on iPhone and Android in 2026 and looked at what matters on a real game night: how the group can play, how many modes there are, how much content you get, which languages are supported and what it costs.
We make Imposter Elite, so we are not neutral about it. To keep the list fair, every fact about the other apps comes from their own App Store and Google Play pages, and each app is shown with what it does best.
